The CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholars program is an opportunity for exceptional early-career researchers in the first five years of a full-time academic position. Selected for their research excellence, advanced communication skills and potential for leadership and impact, Scholars join CIFAR’s network to collaborate across disciplines with some of the world’s leading researchers on important questions facing science and humanity.
Each CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholar receives:
$100,000 CAD in unrestricted research support
A two-year term in a CIFAR research program, a global, interdisciplinary network of leading researchers
Mentorship from a senior researcher within a CIFAR research program
Opportunities to network, collaborate, and form a community with peers from diverse disciplines
Specialized leadership and communication skills training, and support to put skills into action.
Applicants may be based anywhere in the world, must hold a PhD (or equivalent) and be within the first five years of starting a full-time research position at an institution of higher education or research.
We invite applications from early-career research leaders who can engage with any of the following CIFAR research programs:

Choisis pour l’excellence de leur recherche, leurs compétences avancées en matière de communication et leur potentiel de leadership et d’impact, les membres du programme se joignent au réseau du CIFAR pour collaborer par-delà les disciplines avec de remarquables scientifiques du monde entier sur des questions d’importance pour la science et l’humanité.
Voici les avantages conférés à chaque membre du programme des chercheurs mondiaux CIFAR-Azrieli :
100 000 $ CA en soutien à la recherche sans affectation;
Mandat de deux ans au sein d’un programme de recherche du CIFAR, un réseau interdisciplinaire mondial de scientifiques de pointe;
Mentorat auprès d’un membre principal d’un programme de recherche du CIFAR;
Possibilités de réseautage, de collaboration et de création d’une communauté avec des pairs de divers domaines;
Formation spécialisée en leadership et en communications; soutien pour mettre ces compétences en pratique.
Les personnes qui posent leur candidature peuvent être basées n’importe où dans le monde, doivent détenir un Ph.D. (ou l’équivalent) et occuper leur premier poste de recherche à plein temps depuis moins de cinq ans dans un établissement d’enseignement supérieur ou de recherche.
