The African Academy of Sciences (AAS) in partnership with the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) is pleased to virtually invite you to the first U.S.-Africa Frontiers of Science, Engineering, and Medicine Symposium to be held from 12th - 14th October 2022 at 09:00hrs to 17:00hrs (East African Time).
The U.S.-Africa Frontiers Symposium brings together outstanding young scientists, engineers, and medical professionals from the United States and the member countries of the African Union for a series of symposia to discuss exciting advances and opportunities in their fields. The goal of these meetings is to enhance the scientific exchange and dialogue among young researchers in African countries and the United States, including the African science diaspora, and through this interaction, facilitate research collaboration within and beyond the region.
The engaging presentations and panel discussions at the Symposium will showcase excellent science from across all disciplines and provide enriching discussions moderated by leading researchers on topics such as:
• Session I: Artificial Intelligence
• Session II: Materials Science
• Session III: Biodiversity
• Session IV: Climate Change and Food Security
• Session V: Infectious Diseases
