COVID19 Clinical Trial Update | 27 March 2020 ¶

Updated 3/27/20. No drug is currently FDA-approved to treat COVID-19. The FDA recently approved an NIH "adaptive" randomized clinical trial of investigational therapeutics for hospitalized COVID-19 pts; the investigational drug remdesivir is the 1st therapeutic w/in this trial. Existing drugs that are FDA-approved for other uses are also being studied in COVID-19 pts.
chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine +/- azithromycin,
remdesivir,
lopinavir/ritonavir,
losartan,
tocilizumab,
sarilumab,
nitric oxide,
favipiravir, umifenovir,
