Short Description:

Develop potential antibiotics that disrupt the essential proteins of enteric E. coli.

Long Description:

Based on the Proteome Antibiotics platform, the first two essential proteins for E. coli: (1) 50S ribosomal protein L14, and (2) UDP-N-acetylmuramate: L-alanyl-gamma-D-glutamy1-meso-diaminopimelate ligase, were discovered.
The global scientific community can develop potential antibiotics that will disrupt the essential proteins of enteric E. coli.

Immuno-precipitation and Peptide Analysis by MALDI-TOF Reveals Potential Vhh Targets: Pharmacological agents that disrupt either of these two proteins could be an effective antibiotic against Enteric E.coli.
