GeRM for Pseudomonas aeruginosa

This Project is based on the following Technology:
Short Description:

Develop GeRM to protect the usage of bioengineered Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Long Description:

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a gram-negative bacterium that has been studied for various biotechnological applications. We use the genetics rights management (GeRM) system to develop consumable GeRM molecular keys specific for Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Thus, GeRM must be present with bioengineered Pseudomonas aeruginosa in order for them to survive. If the keys are absent, the organisms self-destruct. As a result, consumable GeRM key enables an integrated system of anti-theft and another level of protection against environmental release of bioengineered Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
