Efficacy of oHSV

This Project is based on the following Technology:
  • oncolytic herpes simplex virus (oHSV)-rQT3 against cancer cells
Short Description:

Test the efficacy of oHSV for killing glioblastoma cancer cells.

Long Description:

Glioblastomas (GBM) are the most common tumors that arise from brain. Glioblastomas are usually highly malignant because the tumor cells reproduce quickly. The tumor contains mixed of cell types and they are supported by blood vessels. Glioblastoma is extremely difficult to treat by surgical resection or radiotherapy. oHSV has been investigated for the treatment of malignant tumor glioblastoma. The clinical studies have shown the safety of oHSV administration to the human brain. We focus on enhancing the therapeutic efficacy of oHSV for glioblastoma.
